New, need help
Hi, I am new, and I need some help. I had a D&C on 9-14-09 and then had to have another one on 9-21-09 because there were still "products of conception" in me and my uterus was trying to contract causing a lot of pain. I still have not had a cycle. I have been on two rounds of provera, and just finished a round of premarin and am starting a third round of provera. I have a great deal of pain, like I am trying to start or cramp or ovulate, but nothing happens... no blood whatsoever. My doc says that there is not a good reason for me to have this kind of pain, and I am thinking I am just a wuss. In my life, I have endured very great pain, which included playing softball with dislocated fingers and suffering from migraines that were so severe, I sometimes passed out or threw up or both. I know I can "take" the pain, but I am starting to doubt myself. Does anyone else have this kind of pain with a normal period or have gone this long without having a cycle after a procedure like a D&C? P.S. I have a cyst on my right ovary that, at last check, was 25 mm across. Is that large enough to cause a lot of pain? I want to take this information to my doctor when I go for an appointment on Thursday, Feb 4.

It's like an abortion. It's stands for dilation and cutterage. I had what my doctor called a "blighted ovum", which basically meant that my baby stoppped developing very early on. There was no heartbeat, and nothing but but a placenta growing on the ultrasound. I waited 10 ten weeks, because sometimes you can't see the baby because your uterus is tilted or something. But there was nothing. To be sure, I didn't want an abortion. I WANTED my baby. I am still dealing with the "loss" of my baby. But to answer your question, a D&C is the medical way to deal with your baby being dead inside of you and not able to be induced into labor because you are not far enough along.
