Bumps on labia
I have these. I've had unprotected sex. Both people swear to be safe and that they have gotten tested, and I trust them. Have you figured out what it is? I'm getting tested asap.Last edited by LanaBear; 02-12-2010, 06:32 PM. Reason: Moved to own thread, existing one was 3 years old. -
Welcome to the Forum caroline.
I always think trust no one until they earn it... I'm sorry you have bumps on your labia, it's likely that it is an STD of some sort.
Are they only bumps or do you find they are itchy, or if I can ask do they hurt, have any puss...
Sure you can have boils down there, but they are not usually on your labia.

If you used condoms or lube... there is a possiblity of some sort of allergic reaction to either or both. If you did not use condoms, it could be an STD. If you shave your labia.. it could be ingrown hair bumps. If you are using a new soap, new laundrey soap, bath soap, have been recently waxed etc... all could be skin reactions. Barring any of that stuff... could be an std.
If its not, please please please in the future don't take a guy at his word that he is safe unless you are in a committed sexual relationship and they have EARNED that trust. Sure a married man can cheat , catch a disease and give to his wife -- so no one is truly truly 100% without risk when having unprotected sex... but you are a lot more safe trusting someone you know loves and respects you than you are some random guys saying 'i'm clean, scouts honor!'Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.Comment

I hope your doctor can work out what it is and good luck. As the other ladies have said, NEVER trust anyone that says they've been tested, they are either a) saying it to get into your pants or b) mean it. Most of the time they dont mean it. It took awhile for me to trust my partner of nine years before we came off using the condom.
I'd look into the allergic reaction side of things if... and only if the doctor can not find what is wrong.Comment

It is most likely herpes, or HPV. I have HPV from having unprotected sex a couple times. There are many strands of HPV, but the one I have results in skin leisons or warts. You have to have them removed through an acid solution, or froze off. I am married now and my husband has it because of me. If you get the shot it prevents you from getting a lot of the bad strands. I always felt like it was my curse for messing around unprotected. You should stop having unprotected sex and get checked.Comment

Go to your nearest STD clinic and get tested. It might be HPV or HSV-1 or HSV-2
These might be symptoms...
HPV
Genital warts usually appear as soft, moist, pink- or flesh-colored swellings, most frequently in the genital area. They can be raised or flat, single or multiple, small or large, and sometimes appear cauliflower-shaped. Genital warts can show up:
* On the vulva
* In or around the vagina or anus
* On the cervix.
HSV-1 or HSV-2
* Itching or burning feeling in the genital or anal area
* Flu-like symptoms, including fever
* Swollen glands
* Pain in the legs, buttocks, or genital area
* Vaginal discharge
* A feeling of pressure in the area below the stomach
Never trust anyone by their words I believe that is how many people get infected. Trying to built trust that way is wrong. Easiest thing for you next time just ask your partner to go together and get tested in a STD clinic. If you live in Canada it's FREE all you have to do is walk to your nearest STD clinic. It is much more safe then to risk having an STD. Please use condoms and If you do think you might be infected stop having sex until you are treated. We are all human and make mistakes, learn from the mistakes.
I am not trying to scare you but best option is to see a doctor.
Hope I helped
