hey ladies could you please help me on this one, I just finish a period and there is this funny colour discharge with and odar what do you think it is. theres no pain or discomfort just the odar and colour.

What color is the discharge? If it is brown, then it is normal. The smell is normal too. The brown is old blood from your period and it tends to develop an odor.

If the discharge is grey or greenish and smells almost fishy, then you might have bacterial vaginosis. BV is common and easilly treatable by your doctor. It should not be left untreated though.

thanks so much jessica, it is greenish so I guess it is a BV and I'll be going to my doctor as soon as I get off at 5.I was a lil scared by it but know that you explain it to my I'm ok

Well, BV isn't anything to get too worked up over. Just always get it treated as soon as possible. Treatment is pretty easy and they can usually give you a one dose prescription for it. I have had it a few times and it wasn't too bad. You can almost always tell if you have BV because you don't have any itchiness (like with a yeast infection) and it's one of the few infections that cause that type (color and smell) of discharge. You should be good to go in no time.

Thanks again jessica I didn't get to go to the doctor yesterday because I worked late, But I made an appointment to do it today on my lunch break.Your the best Jess,when I spoke to my doctor he told me exactly the same things that you said,maybe one day I'll treat you to a vacation here in the Bahamas.
