Before him, I had a really crappy boyfriend who liked to play the field often without taking any precaution for his decisions. We dated on and off, about six years ago, for awhile. Back then I was young and naive. I've only been with a few people in my life but during the time I dated him, he gave my chlamydia 4 times, ghonnereah 1 time and the last time I had chlamydia, I also had pelvic inflammatory disease. (Him and I went to get the std medication together, he just never took his properly so it kept coming back when I thought he was clean, and condoms always broke with him for some messed up reason) But I finally broke it off and I haven't had any std for six years now. But I was told that getting chlamydia and a PID can lead to infertility.
I am 25 years old and never been pregnant. To me that is a good thing. Honestly I don't think I want kids. But the guy I'm with I do see a future with. I'd like to marry him someday but neither of us really want kids until maybe when we're 35, if any. But I at least would like to know since I do take birth control and spend time and money to get BC.
I only wonder this because there has been several occasions when the condom broke or I started missing pills for awhile and I never got pregnant. There was a time when this happened so often to me that I just believed I could not get pregnant and would skip pill days with absolutely no protection. I never once got pregnant. Never missed a period. Nothing.
Does this mean I can't have kids most likely?
Are the chances of me ever conceiving likely?
I have asked my gyno about it and she just tells me that I don't need to worry about that until I'm ready to get pregnant. So she won't help me find out. I've had another gyno tell me the same thing before her.
I just want to know so I don't need to worry about taking my pills all the time. I hate taking pills and the shot is even worse. Any ideas?
Like really... that baffles my mind... Have you told them your reason for wanting to know, i.e. spending all that money on birth control? Not to mention the health risks of taking it??
