I have never had this problem before. Its embarrassing and I'm sure if anyone got close enough they could smell it too.

I have no discharge, no stds, its not a yeast infection ( I have had several in the past ) but my god its foul. It's not exactly fishy, smells more like blood to me, and just having finished my period that would make sense, but my period is gone, nothing left. Everything is back to working order except this odor. I have never had this happen after a period before and I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this as well.

I recently went to my doctor because my periods had been getting heavier and longer and I am currently on the pill to help regulate my period as well as not get pregnant. He decided to send me for an ultrasound and blood work, for what I'm not sure. I don't know if this may have some link to whats going on or if he is just trying to rule out everything before switching my bc again.

I'm sure I sound paranoid especially the way I have described the odor and explaining how i just finished having my period, but having never had this problem before it is a lil disconcerting.

Advice on how to treat the odor or advice on how to calm down would be greatly appreciated.

It might be BV? I suppose the docs will get back to you with the test results and you'll know for sure. Did they have any suggestions in the meantime?

If you're moist down there and that makes the odor worse, I'd suggest using some baby powder to keep things dry. Haven't tried that myself but hear it works great.

I'm currently battling a persistent yeast infection and found that douching with some diluted tea tree oil helps. I know that's not what you have right now, but the oil, for me, tends to mask any kind of odor. If I do smell at all it's kind of... minty... plant-ie... definitely better than the alternative.

i have googled this bv thing. sounds like it, which is unfortunate. i have no luck aha.
