Lump on vulva
Hi-hope someone out there has similar problem and can offer advice. I’ve been having recurrent vaginal itching, but without a discharge or odor. It goes away for a few weeks, then returns. No burning with urination either. My pap smear done 6 months ago was negative. At the time I wasn’t having a reoccurrence. The only thing that seems to work temporarily is anti-fungal creams. Monistat has not proven to be effective (suggested by my gyno). Finally, after 9 months, I had a lump appear on the vulva near the vaginal opening. It is the same color as the skin, no head, and doesn’t hurt. Aabout the size of a pea. It does itch at times and I do get relief with the same medicine used for jock itch. I have not been sexually active in over a year, but had an STD test run just in case. All results were negative, including for Herpes, Chlamydia, Syphilis, and Gonorrhea. I’ve searched the internet for similar conditions, but no luck. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks. -
Hi,
Yes, I did check into the Bartholin gland symptoms and also a Skene's gland problem, but none of the symptoms matched mine. The lump I have is almost in the middle of the vulva, not near the opening of the vagina. Thanks for the suggestion. The lump is going down and not nearly as big after having it for a week now. I'm still puzzled. I suppose I should consider vulva cancer, but not ready to go there yet.Comment
