HI, I want some help here?

I found out that taking BCPs make my insane! They also make me sick and ever since I was born with mental issues, it makes it tons worse! I am very fearful of even continuing them, so I am not.

I have been taking BCPs because I have has extremely heavy menstrual cycles and small minor cycles in between them. I use up about a whole sake of pads I have had in one cycle period. That is basically the usual number of pads for a standard bag. I have used super thick longs all through it to, how inconvenient and frustrating that was. I was also have very low iron intake even when I consumed it through food and supplement, which didn't make any dent in my formed anemia from all my blood loss. I also got all the side effects of iron deficiency anemia.

Ever since I turned 20, it ever since got a lot worse. I have learned about the endometrial ablation which is just I guess the only other option I have. I don't know what to do because I am scared right now. I do not want my life ruined by BCPs nor bleed to death.

    Please Help! ..thanks.

Well BCP's are meant to help reduce a cycle flow, I'm sorry that this isn't working for you...

Did your Doctor suggest endometrial ablation? And, for readers, what exactly is that?

I have read about in a few places in magazines and one the internet. I found as far as I know, it seems to be the only other option to discredit or decrease menstrual flow. :/

As I said, maybe others on here as you will, can help me out here.

Google it again, and read what women are saying that have had this done... I just had a little read of a few.

Also, read with regards to future, and having children after having the proceedure and once you've absorbed all of the information speak to your Doctor about this as being an alternative.

I think it's good that we take things into our own hands to find a solution to problems, but it's just as good to then take that information to a specialist and pose the question, as we are all different and what may be good for one person may not be good for another

        Best of luck.

friend of mine had the endometrial ablation
because her periods were literally ruining her life
and it was great for her.
its pretty hardcore though so you need to be *sure* about it.
but sometimes sadly theres no other option for it.
