Severe pain and extremely heavy flow. NOT COMMON.

I usually get moderate to slightly uncomfortable cramping when I first start my period, but this morning it was so painful I was incapable of moving. I was awoken from a sound sleep, rushed to the bathroom, and sat there for the next hour writhing in pain, crying, and unable to move from the bent over position I was in. It felt as though someone was taking knives to my insides, quite literally.

I also noticed that during this time, for the hour that it lasted, my flow was incredibly heavy. Usually I'm not heavy until the 3rd or 4th day, and I am very, VERY regular.

After the hour, it stopped, and while now I feel tired and sore (in the lower abdominal region) I am in no real pain. Does anyone have any idea what I may have gone through? It really freaked me out. :/

Hi I just had a few questions for you.

Are you sexually active? If so protected or not protected?

Do you use any birth control?

    How old are you?
