Extremely painful edometriosis! looking for advice...
i have endometriosis that has gotten progessively worse over the last 6-7yrs. its to the point that i can't function for 4-6 days before and during the start of my cycle. my lower abdomen swells up and the pain radiates down around my back and down my legs. it's worse than labor pains by far. I have had 3 children all by c-sect., my youngest child is 11. i had my tubes tied after his birth and 4 years later had to have my left ovary and tube removed due to a large begnin tumor. the surgeon told me that while he was doing the surgery he noticed my intestines were fused to my uterus because of all the scar tissue but never mentioned endometriosis. after that surgery is when all the pain Really started...unfortunately i haven't had luck with the dr.s i've seen. i've had ultrasounds that say i look fine other than ovarian cysts that occassionally rupture..i was hospitalized once this year because of the cyst. my new dr. scheduled a d&c and laparascopy after i brought in something i passed which was beyond words in describing the pain. the lab results came back that it was decidual cast. i'm confused on whether or not i should have the d&c i don't want to have a hysterectomy but i'm in so much pain i'm starting to think that may be what i need. Does anyone have any input on my situation. i've got to find a way to stop my pain! -
