I feel so much better today. I don't feel any pressure in the area or any of the sensitive pain. The lump is about half the size it was and she said it was going to stay swollen for a while. The only thing that does hurt is now I can feel where the needles were stuck when she gave me the Lidocaine and then stuck the abscess. So those sites sting pretty bad but that pain is so much better then what I was feeling...i couldn't even walk yesterday and today I walk with no problems. The pain was the worst I ever felt yesterday but it was worth it because now I can sleep...and wear underwear! LOL

She didn't say to keep squeezing for a few days but I don't think it will hurt. I'm going to try soaking in the tub again and see if anything happens...but I did pull a hair out yesterday so the source of the abscess is probably gone.

Hydradentitis Suprativa. Google it, I bet thats what you got. Google it because it may come back. I get them in my groing and my arm pits and they hurt so bad. I didnt know what this was forever and the derm told me a cyst. well I did a lil research and by then I was stage two wear they start to form sinus tracts and leach out. It must be hereditary because my two yr old had a boust of it to on his rump where the diaper rubs. The ER said they have never seen so much puss before, I wasnt surprised. I lance my own all the time. I need to find a scalpal though. it has to be easier than a needle. Anyway if you had ur period and you start feeling moody and exhausted then you know you got one coming. In the beginning they itch like fire ant bites then they fill with puss and hurt and even throb if big enough!
Best wishes as there is no cue and they do leave scars. You may try muriprocin (sp) next time u see one forming. Sometimes they form for days and others they just show up overnight. It really help to reduce them but you still may need to lance.
