    Military Hosps.

I did a quick google for military hosp. in CO and just came up with Ft Carson -- I've no way of knowing if this is accurate, but I have to think, considering the military instillations, in CO, that there are more.

Because you are a dependent, you could utilize the civilian portion of your benefits -- TriCare for Life. As long as you have a valid, dependent, ID card, then it should cover you -- unless they've changed it in the last few days.

If you absolutely cannot get in thru the military, see if Planned Parenthood has a chapter near you. Call them, tell them your problems and just possibly they can help you out.

Go to the Family Services office, on base, and BEG them for help. It's part of their jobs to help with cases like this.

Get out the yellow pages and call every single women's health clinic in the state, if you have to.

A doc once told me that "common things happen commonly", and fibroids are certainly common -- but that does NOT mean you don't need to be treated.

Putting up with doctors with large hands, cold instruments, short, thin paper gowns and other embarrassments is just part of being a women. We've all been there.

Now get off your duff and start making phone calls!

    Char.

Thank you Char for everything and yes Fort Carson is one of the miltary hospitals here and that is where I go. With the tricare thing it depends on what tricare you have to have those benefits I am tricare prime I know if we go off base to a none miltary hospital we pay so much and tri care pays so much but it's up to them if they want to do that and depends on why you went and such, I'll have to talk to my Dad about that one. Also you recommanded planned parenthood? I am not sure about that one I have one 3 blocks down the street from me, but I don't like that place for alot of reasons, but if last resort comes I'll give them a try, I'm going to look for more options and see what I can do and such. Thank you all so much for your help and advice it really means alot to me and God bless!

        Ms. Jay

        Crystal,
Here is something that you can do. The next time that you go to the doctor, ask to be referred somewhere else, (OFFPOST) or to a different doctor at that hospital. You can do this because you are under your dad's social security number. If they dont help you then, ask your dad to speak to whomever is the director at that hospital or he might not have to take it that high. Tricare will pay for at least half if not all of the expenses. Find a doctor that will take tricare. You really need to be seen before this situation gets even worse. I know because I used to be in the ARMY and got out last year.

Go to the doctor, be persistent

Well, I hope you went to the doctor to check that out. As far as them saying you cant get an appoinment, they are pretty much lazy, they just didnt want to look. Im sure that there was more than one female family practice doctor, where you went. I used to be active duty military, and they used to tell people that all the time who werent active duty military. I dont know how every military hospital is, but here in OK they cater to active duty military. What you need to do is do like tinkerbell said and go to the Emergency room, they have no choice, but to see you. Go directly to the hospital, and ask to make an appointment with a doctor the same day because people do cancel you know, and you can fill in for that missed appointment. Keep calling everyday until you get what you want. Be persistent, they will get tired of you calling, and try to fit you in, TRUST ME. That is how I had to do it alot. Take a chance because you need to see a doctor.

Thanks for your help loveofachild really means alot No I haven't made an appointment haven't had the chance, but I do want to say this some of the stuff has stoped a bet now which is great like coming every week and such I still get extreme pain and bleeding very badly, but at lest it is not every week like it was doing for some time, Thank the Lord above for that.
Also I am thinking maybe bitrh control can help with this?, I am not sure on that one and how all that works I heard that it helps with probelms like these, is this true? If so I am willing to try that and see what happens. I really don't need birth control since I am not sexualy active but if it's true that it helps with it, I'll take it anything to help.

                thinking....

the reason why you would be feeling weak is because of blood loss. If you don't see the docs at least soon take an iron supliment and a multivit. As far as the birth controle goes maybe hold off on taking that until you know what's wrong. Fibroids feed on estrogen (in some BC) if thats the problem then you won't be helping yourself by taking it.

                  Got checked out

I know I haven't been on lately and haven't updated in a few weeks but I do want you to know I got checked out I went to a lady my neighbor goes to and she checked me out for everything and she said everything is normal except my right ovarie has some damge from when I had cest a year ago which is why I had extreme pain all the time and possiably the other reason why I was bleeding so badly, so she put me on Birth Control to help that out to see if it would help with the pain and the extreme cramping and bleeding, hopefuly it works, but I did get checked out and everything and I do want to say thank you to everyone of you for helping me out and everything take care and God bless you always and forever.
