I am 24 yrs old and am soooooo frustrated with my chronic BV infections. I have read a lot of the posts on this forum and was wondering if anyone else doesn't have the white discharge with BV, but yellow. My discharge is not white, but yellow and pretty heavy. It never goes away and every website i read about BV says the discharge is "thin and white". Mine is not! Anyone have this?

sorry to ask, but what is BV? i'm not good with abbreviations and sometimes miss the obvious. sorry that no one has replied yet, but looks like alot of people have read this.. maybe someone can help if i cant. hugs and support. jamie

I have the white and fishy foul discharge so i don't know about the yellow discharge. i'm 42 and have gotten it twice now last month and now again. You should go to the Dr.to get it checked.

I have never had bv but now getting it from my bf and he does not ejaculate inside me because he just can't cum but anyway's i've read that other women are allergic to the semen so i don't understand how i keep getting it. I wear cotton undies,loose jeans, no bubble bath's no perfumes,don't dousche, don't wipe back to front constantly wash hands,don't use wipes . The only thing is maybe because we have sex over an hour he tries to cum but can't and i get dry then irritated then we use astro-glide to lube me back then i get dry again does anybody think that could be causing me to keep getting the bv back to embarrased to ask the dr if it's because of the sex part i did get checked for std's and came back neg to all any suggestions

ok went to dr.thursday had pap-smear told her to also test for e-coli which i read on another thread which one of the gurl's had and my dr. said she woulda never thought of that you think they would anyway's she said yeah looks like bv smells like bv but i'm gonna check for std's which she did last month and they all came back neg. She gave me metro. well got home that night I put hydrogen peroxide in a syringe 2cc and put it inside it didn't burn but if it does dilute it with water and then when it doesn't burn anymore use full strength anyway's woke up Friday and the smell was gone because i smelled rank for a week so did it last night again before i went to bed and smell still gone so i'm gonna do that everynight for a week. Gonna also go to a health store and get some vitamins to keep bv away. Gonna make my boyfriend wear condom's which i shoulda done from the start because never had it before until having sex with him so if i don't get it back with condoms then i know it's just him our fluids just don't mix cause i'm sure not in the hell gonna go through this all the time like some of the women i've read about.

BV means Bacterial Vaginosis it's a very common infection in women you can get it from undies to douching way to much.

how about this...

you know, i've had bacterial infections down there, wayyy back when i was married... and i kept getting them, and it came back that my husband and i were passing it back and forth to eachother. for whatever reason, sometimes men can harber the bacteria and then we get treated and get clear of it, and BAM it comes back cuz we have sex and then it starts allllll over again. why dont you ask your doctor if she can prescribe him an antibiotic pill for one course (7days) and see what happens? in my case, my husband wasnt insured and he wasnt seen by the dr so they prescribed it to me for him to take and my insurance covered it, or sometimes they have free trials. it's worth asking about seriously... my dr at that point that men can even get yeast infections from women and pass it back and forth without them feeling any discomfort. so call or email your dr and ask, cant hurt can it? and then that way you know for sure what's going on. sorry it's taken me soo long to remember this, woulda probably helped before, but if you keep getting it back everytime you have sex, then it has something to do with sex, and it could be that simple. let me know. sorry i couldnt help sooner.

The hydrogen peroxide helped took it for 7 day's was a little funny feeling at first but did it for 7 day's took the smell away the next day i tried it.Just make sure each time u use the syringe to wash it with hot water and soap before. Make sure u use it at bed time.Put it in when u go to bed and put a towel under you it runs out a little i just put the syringe in a paper towel till i get up next morning and wash it real good.I haven't had sex yet scared to..lol but i will use a condom non spermacidal that can cause you to get an infection 2 plus can't get pregnaunt had a hystercotmy 17 yrs.ago but when i do i will use 20 cc right away after washing.
