Abnormal Pap

Hi everyone!

Yesterday my gyno told me my pap results showed some abnormal cells. She scheduled me for a colposcopy for the end of next week.

I am really scared. I have no idea what this could mean. I've had the HPV vaccine and have used condoms with all partners except for my fiance, who is in the military, which means he is always screened for stds and has never had any.

Thinking about this just makes me feels so terrible and I hate that I have to wait a week to have this colposcopy and then probably longer for the results. If anyone has advice for the colposcopy (I heard it can be quite painful) or any thoughts on what could be wrong with me, PLEASE share!

Ive had a abnormal results and went back in for another pap, and then it all turned out fine. Its the waiting and not knowing is the hardest part. Good luck!

yes waiting is the hardest part but dont worry this colonoscopy will help rule out things..your doctor will help you and guide you..good luck
