I have symptoms of a yeast infection so I went out and got the Target (Up and Up) version of Monistat 3 day treatment. The only problem is instead of little vitamin tablet things that are pre-filled in disposable applicators, it's just a bunch of cream medicine that you plunger into your vagina.

That's seemed to work well, except within an hour, like half of the medicine just came out of my vagina, creating a huge mess and leaving me very confused. i put it in as far as it could go and I followed the instructions that I have to go lie down afterward, but it still came rushing out of me, which seems to defeat the purpose.

I went through all three treatments, my symptoms seem to be a lot better, but I'm just wondering if this has happened to anyone and if you had any tips on how to do it properly so that doesn't happen next time I need to use it? The reason i use this brand instead is because i save about $8. With my tight budget I'd rather learn how to use this product the right way, rather than always buying the expensive medicine. help?

You are probably doing it right. But as that little oval sits in your body, it is going to melt and the ointment will liquify, so yes, you will get some 'fall out' from it. My only suggestion is to wear a pantyliner or pad when using it.

It might be easier just to do it at night before you go to bed. That's what I do with any sort of vaginal cream that has to be inserted, that way it stays in longer than if I'm moving around. The suggestion of using a pad/pantyliner is also helps with the mess.
