I bought an over the counter UTI test and it came out positive. I've been having smelly cloudy urine for a while now. No pain or discomfort though. Anyway, since it came back positive are there any natural ways to get rid of it? My position was eliminated at work and I can't afford another doctor visit. If there isn't any way other than antibiotics, maybe my doctor can prescribe me one over the phone if i explain my situation.

Are there not any free or low income clinics around your area? You have to have antibiotics to clear a UTI, but since you are not really sure try drinking cranberry juice. Cranberry juice will not get rid of an UTI, but it helps prevent it.

Drink drink drink. Also AZO makes a cranberry pill that works well, IMO. Drink and pee, drink and pee, see if you can get it flushed out of your system.

i have cured a uti before without a prescription from a docter so it can be done first you have to understand what a uti consist of.. we are talking about a bacteria that multiplies in the thousands ever 30 mins.. so my first thing i do because it is so painful go to your local grocery store or walmart and pick up a item called uristat it will stop the burning and pressure to have to go to the bathroom( it will turn your urine bright orange and stain your undies. next get vitamin c 1000 mg i prefer the chewable tablets take 2 tablets a day the the vitamin c makes like a coating around your bladder that prevents the bacteria from sticking to the walls of your bladder you can now flush out your system and you can do this with water, cranberry pills(in vitamin section) dont waste your money on the juice theres really not enough cran in it to make a big difference and the suger wont help, i take the maxium abount of cran pills as directed drink plenty of water a and like 2 tablespoons of applecider vingear a day. and some tylenol for the pain. you will feel better in a few days. i also eat asperagus (sp). not sure what this does but i know its good for your bladder and it does something cause it makes your pee stink. once cured continued to take one cran pill a day and you shouldnt get it back.

I would be carefull if I were you as a UTI can spread to your kidneys and its not nice. It can be quite serious. A mixture of 1/2 tsp baking soda in eight ounce glass of water can be very helpful on the first signs of urinary tract infection. The presence of baking soda in your system raises the acid-base balance of the acidic urine.
