    Cycles has sucked for 2010

First, I have severe anxiety and depression (and have for 11 yrs). I'm 50 pounds overweight. Have 5 kids which obviously produce stres also, as well as a husband.
Here is what my cycle has looked like:
    Jan-no period
    Feb-normal period
    March-no period
    April-wierd/light period
    May-no period
    June-normal period
    July-wierd/heavy 2 day period
    August-normal period
    Sept-light bleeding/spotting period?
    Oct-light bleeding/spotting period?

In March is when I think infection started, I think it is BV, I have all the BV symptoms. It will seem better, then come back. I've been trying to avoid an antibiotic because I already have ezcema down there and don't want to add a yeast infection to the mix. Plus I am more of a natural gal. The probiotics I started 10 days ago, do seem to be helping. But because I have had so much spotting/light bleeding, sporadic, off and on in Sept and Oct....I have no idea if I'd had a period. My husband is fixed, so no chance of pregnancy. We are also faithful and have been for 6 years, so I'm thinking STD is also not a possibility. All the things I read about like fibroids, polyps, endo, etc... seem to be related to heavy bleeding. Which I'm not having and haven't all year (except July was wierd/heavy for a evening). Paps have always been normal, normal pregnancy/delivery's, never had issues other than this.

    My questions are:
Can infections screw with your periods like this?
Or maybe this is a hormone imbalance? I have been known to have high estrogen/low progesterone. But haven't tested myself in 1 year.

Well it could be stress related, I know that has changed my cycles before. I don't see why an infection would affect your cycle unless it's spread to your ovaries. Have you talked with your doc or gyno? They could probably give you better advise as to what it could be. You could go on BC pills for a little while to help regulate your periods. Other than that, I honestly don't know.
