    Dysfunctional Bleeding

I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem as me and used Loestrin 24 as a remedy. In February this year, my mother died unexpectedly. I was very emotional and shortly after started bleeding horribly, huge blood clots. After a month or six weeks, I can't remember which I went to the gyno and they used provera to stop, which took longer than normal but eventually did. Took all the ultra sound/biopsy/blood work tests, showed nothing other than anemia due to all the blood lost. My last visit to the doc, when we decided to try Loestrin to control, was mid April, I had stopped for two weeks at that time. I was to start the pill when I started again. I did not start again for six months. It came back a week or so ago, so I started the pill. I've had 5 pills. There is no sign of easing up at all. Very heavy, huge blood clots again. At the time, my doc said it could take six months for it to really work and even things out. Has anyone else had this problem and used Loestrin? If so, how long before things eased up?

Thanks in advance, this has been a horrible experience and I appreciate any feedback.

I can certainly see stress causing alot of this. But have they checked you for a Fibroid? Or checked your hormones?

Yes, blood work, ultrasound of the uterus and biopsy. All came back normal except for anemia from the blood loss. Today was the 6th day of the birth control pill, it seems to have eased up a hair, but still huge clots. I'm hoping it just takes awhile to kick in.

I've heard it can take up to 3 months for BC pills to regulate you.
