    Ovary problem or something else????

    Hi
About a week and half, I experienced some discomfort to my right side level with my pubic bone with the intermittant mild jabbing. Five days ago I ovulated. I generally get some pain which lasts about 48 hours. It's mainly a dull ache (with the odd mild jab but not often). I don't experience anything when lying down. Occaisionally I get a feeling of light pressure in the centre just above my pubic bone. I do not have any pain or discomfort when urinating or have the need to urinate often. Sometimes I get a little aching lower back between the hip bones. Sometimes I feel a sensation from my pubic bone up in a straight line like in my urethra. It doesn't hurt but comes and goes too. I feel generally well. I began HRT tablets (Prempac-c) 4 1/2 months ago and have not had any problems with it. My periods are regular and med/heavy flow and last around 7-8 days.
I, as usual worry myself silly thinking the worse. As it is only a few days til Christmas, I am wondering whether to see my GP or wait til after the festivities.
I'd really value feedback. Thank you!

    Hi,

I am having something very similar at the moment, I am even having a pain from my pubic bone/urethra and was really worried what it was, im terrified its something serious like cancer. My period was 5 days late and I was on for my normal 4-5 days but ever since I have had pains in my ovaries like im about to come on again, especially on the left hand side.

Did you ever get to the bottom of it? Thanks Lorna

Well you are on HRT tablets ( I am not sure why your on HRT-whatever reason could be whats causing the pain) so sounds like something hormonal. You may just be the type that FEELS there ovulation pain more than others. It could also be a ovary cyst, it can cause that hip bone and sharp stabbing in the ovary I get cyst all the time so I know, the best prevention for them is hormones (birth control). Go get a ultrasound and some blood work to see if the HRT is to much hormone or still to little that can even cause pain like this hormone imbalance, again you may just be FEELING your ovulation. Hope you get it figured out.
