    Extremely Frustrated.

Hello everyone. I am new to these forums - because I need someone to give me some sort of feedback - that may be experiencing the same issues. I have read through a few threads and I can see that there is very useful information among us.

I am 30 years old and recently married and wanting to start a family. I started birth control pills when I was 14 and was on them non-stop until June 2010. So, roughly 15 years. I never got a period in June, July or August. In September I went for my yearly exam and mentioned it to my doctor (also informing her that we wanted to conceive). She told me to wait until October to see if it came on its own and if it didn't then I was to start on Prometrium. October came and still no period. I started the Prometrium late October and I had a regular period following the 10th day(in November). The time came again to have a period and it was MIA again! So I started another round of Prometrium. This time I had approximately one day of slight brown spotting and that was it. I have now just completed a third round of Prometrium and it has been over a week since I took the 10th pill, with no signs of anything to come. I am extremely frustrated because I want nothing more than to start having babies. I have an occasional breakdown where I cry on my husbands shoulder, claiming that I will never get pregnant and so on and so forth...(childish I know, but I am scared) What if...what if I cant get pregnant?

Well, you are just beginning. It doesn't do you any good to get upset about it yet, there is still so much that can be done. The stress and frustration of it all can also make your period MIA as well, so you need to calm down and relax. Start preparing your body, eating healthy (if not already), taking prenatals, etc.

Being on the pill that long, it may take a good few months for your body to get back to a normal cycle.

Are you exercising and within a healthy weight range? Are you tracking and charting your BBT?

What are you Dr's next steps?

It will happen in time, it took me 2 years to get pregnant with my first after I got off the pill, plus I had to do about 7-8 months of rounds of Provera and Clomid. Not to discourage you, but just to stress, it may not happen quickly and you just really can't let it get you so discouraged because it won't help.

      Finally!

Well, the good new is that aunt flow finally decided to make an appearance on 1/22. I almost think it came 1. because I complained to the world about it and 2. because l spend 1/21 a night out with about 15 females from work. All I can say that I was elated when I woke up on Saturday!

And you are probably most definitly accurate when you said that it is stress. I am a tad bit overweight, but I am doing weight watchers now and exercising. I also recently started tracking my BBT and also purchased an ovulation predicter test.

So...my fingers are crossed - I am just going to go with the flow...figuratively speaking!

That sounds great! lol and don't worry if you don't concieve right away, because sometimes after you stop the pill for birthcontroll or shots. they say it takes couple months before you can get pregnant, for example the shots, anyone who take those would concieve anywhere after 9 months after stopping D=

        Good luck!
