Hey guys Im looking for some help here...
About three weeks ago I had sex with this guy and just to be extra safe i took plan B (the morning after pill) it says that it can mess up your next period but this months period is super messed up. It started off normally.. not heavy or anything... and then it started going away like the blood got brownish and really light so i thought it was done.. but then for the next 3 days it got SUPER SUPER heavy like.. ive never had a period that heavy before (this was like a week after my period had started and i normally have about 5 day periods) this worried me but i figured it had something to do with taking the pill... but now it has been 15 days and yesterday and this morning my period blood got brown and super light so i thought it was gone but tonight its red and normal again... does anybody know what is going on? please help me!

Hi, I know this is a really old post, but I'm having the exact same symptoms as you after taking Plan B. I'm just wondering what the outcome was and if you had any long term problems, and if your period returned to normal, and how long did it take to return to normal? I took Plan B at the end of July, had some light spotting the week after I took it, but my period didn't start until mid september, i have been bleeding moderate to heavy since then. Finally a week it ago it stopped for a day, I had some brown discharge like it was ending, then it started again. This is very worrying since I am normally very regular. I've never had any problems with my period prior to taking Plan B. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am also experiencing the exact same thing and I'm pretty miserable. Thought my period was over after it stopped for a day and now it seems to be ridiculously heavy again over the past 2 days...normally I have a 5-6 day period and I'm currently on day 10....I've started going through super tampons in like an hour's time too it's just madness. Wondering if drinking last night has anything to do with it.

If any of the people above read this just wondering how long it took for yours to stop? Could use a light at the end of the tunnel, thanks!

I think drinking is one thing, but not the main/entire reason for the long period of bleeding. Do consult an OB-GYN as soon as you can. This happened to me and I was given a pill (I can't remember the name) to stop the bleeding. Then the next month, my period went back to normal.
