    menstrual migraines.

I have noticed for the last few months, for a few days before my period starts i get more frequent headaches, and then when my period starts I get a terrible headache...this months it was so bad i couldn't sleep, and i ended up vomiting because of the pain.
I was wondering if anyone else also suffers with this, and if they have found anything that works...dont want to have to go to my dr with headaches because whenever i do they just tell me to loose weight (which i am doing, but this doesn't really help with the pain i'm feeling right now). Interested in natural/home remedies as I dont want to be taking loads of pain killers.

    Thanks.

If you are not interested in pain killers made for migraines than the only 'natural' thing you can really do is keep yourself in a dim lit room, no music, no noise, have a wet towel on your forehead, and try to sleep it off. If you look on the internet and it says "CUUUURREEEE!!!!! eat this plant!!!!!!" you can actually land yourself in the hospital because the huge majority of things on the internet are coming from sources that people have no idea what they actually are. If you are absolutely into the drink twig tea type natural stuff then only go to a certified herbal store and ask them questions, but not those back alley types in the middle of downtown lol.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.

Good thing I scrolled down the page and saw this thread because I was about to post that I suffer from the same thing! I get bad headaches and usually a migraine during my menstrual cycle and it can be before, during, after, etc. They've lately been worse. Not quite as bad as your's though. No vomiting from pain or anything.

You shouldn't have to take loads of painkillers. An excedrin migraine does it for me. They say drinking some caffeine is a natural remedy so maybe make yourself a hot cup of tea when you feel one coming on. It helps me to put something cold on my forehead and put sunglasses on indoors with all the lights off. This only does so much, I know. I don't understand how weight is a factor though? I could be considered underweight and I suffer from this problem...
