I find myself getting worried about this every month now, because my sister has a baby that I take care of and another one is just out of the question right now...I have been ready to go on the pill but was waiting until a regular period to start taking it after.

Every month I get the same paranoid feeling.
I'm 19, and have been sexually active since I was 18. I've had mostly normal periods, I'd get them about 20ish days apart and it was consistent so I didn't worry. But recently, for the past few months they've been lighter and a little later than usual. Last time I got my period, I went a full month after that with no period, then got it on the 1st of the next month, and on the 20th had another light period that lasted like 3 or 4 days. And it looks as if it's going to be the same this month, because it's nearing the end of the month and I have not had a period this month yet. Last time I got a brown discharge before I got my period that smelled bad, and now I had it again. Should I expect my period soon? I've had unprotected sex with the pull out method but not for a few months, every time I have slept with my partner in the past two months has been with a condom. Is pregnancy a likely possibility here?

It doesn't matter whether your period is regular or not, all you have to do is wait til the FIRST day of your period to start taking the pill. Many people use it to regulate their cycles in the first place.
If you're worried about pregnancy take a home pregnancy test, you can buy them almost anywhere. -
I don't know if it's too soon to take one. I don't have any symptoms of pregnancy. The last time I even had sex before last week was 2 months ago. I don't know if I can be pregnant this quickly...I'm really lost. Is it possible to miss a period from sex so soon to when I'm due for my period?Comment
