Stopping periods - help!!!
I am going on holiday for my birthday to Amsterdam and I have worked out that I will be expecting my period when I am there - I was wondering is there anyway of delaying or skipping it? I can not take the pill due to being a migraine sufferer so I can't back it up which is one option ... I was wondering if there are any ways to do this! :s -
The only real way to stop biology from giving you a period is to take the birth control pills and skip the placebo and move from one pack of active pills onto the next pack. But since you do not wish to take birth control you could ask your doctor for a shot, there are some that induce periods and some that stop periods however they may not just willy nilly give the shot out it all depends on the actual doctor as they all practice differently. Other than that only a tampon can really help you out to minimize the displeasure of a period during vacation. There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy. -
It is basically just the depo shot. The same type of thing is used when women have uncontrolled bleeding and they get a shot to stop it. It is still hormones to throw the normal menstrual cycle off balance. Nothing is actually going to stop a period aside from pharmaceuticals.I've never heard of shots to stop your period? In any case they would include hormones like the pill - I haven't heard of any other method of manipulating periods. There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.Comment
