plan b, period twice this month, all messed up.
hey ladies. i've been having some issues lately with my period, i think having to do with having taken plan b twice in about a month. i've been off the pill now for about 3 years. i took plan b on april 28th after my partner and i had intercourse and the condom broke, but got my regular scheduled period on may 13th which lasted the normal 5-6 days. we had another condom issue on may 22nd so i took another plan b just to be safe, but i got my period again on may 28th that lasted for 3 days and was slightly lighter color. i've been very bloated and my stomach's been in knots. i have an appt with my gyn in about a week (and i'll definitely be getting back on the pill and switching condom brands) but could all this be caused by plan b? my paranoia has been telling me to take a pregnancy test but i got my period as scheduled this month so i don't think that's it...

It is likely entirely because of this. Plan B is not something recommended to be taking multiple times as it contains several times the dose of a chemical in regular birth control. Taking just one in a month often messes up a period for that month and sometimes several afterwards. You will need to wait until your body has adjusted and yes do go to some form of reliable birth control.i think having to do with having taken plan b twice in about a month. There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy. -

Plan B almost always causes you to bleed irregularly or early when you take it. It's a strong dose of a hormone, and since people have breakthrough bleeding on any pill as it is, a pill with twice the normal dose would of course make you bleed. And you took it two times in one month. I wouldn't stress too much. Your gyno can run a pregnancy test at your visit if you want to be absolutely positive.Comment
