I have been dealing with vaginal discharge, minor redness and swelling of the the urethra and labia for many years now. My troubles began after I got what seemed like a UTI and was treated for it based on symptoms alone. Well to make a very long story short I have been treated for BV and the like and have tried countless home remedies to no avail. I have not been diagnosed with anything because all the tests I have ever had have come back negative for STI's and anything else I could talk the doctors in to testing me for. I came across somthing called ureaplasma urealyticum. Anyone with ongoing symptoms like mine and no diagnosis should read about this. I have to admit that from what I have read so far it sounds very hard to cure but I am still in search of a diagnosis and willing to make yet another trip back to the doctor. Also some of what I have read online is cotradictory regarding symptoms but I still believe it is worth a look.

I thought I should add that a couple months ago my pap did show BV and was not there at my follow up visit. That was the only time in seven or eight years that BV showed. My syptoms have always been the same and never go away. It does seem that they are minmal at certain times of the month but they are always there. I have never experienced the typical BV odor either. I don't know if this will help anyone or not. I have been on a very frustrating trip with this and maybe if I could just get a name for whatever the heck it is it will give me a little peace of mind.

hi, did you ever get relief?? I suffered the same thing as you, started off with a UTI, now I have this horrible itch on my labia. 1.5 years now...sucks
