I'm not quite sure where you would go really. I've come across it in discussion. The first place I would go to is my GP to see what they have to say, however I know some Dr's aren't really knowledgeable on areas like this (I have PCOS and my current GP has never discussed this with me). Other than a GP I would try a practice nurse or women's health nurse if you have access to them. -
Phone your local gynecologist's office and ask if they deal often with PMDD. There are still some doctors out there who don't believe this is a "real thing," and you won't want to waste an office visit copay on them. By speaking to the office, you should be able to gauge whether they will be supportive or dismissive towards your issues.
A Family Nurse Practitioner may also be able to help, especially if they are in practice with a GYN.<center><i>Nature gives us shapeless shapes,<br>Clouds and waves and flame,<br>But human expectation is that love remains the same,<br>And when it doesn’t, we point our fingers and blame.</i><br><a href="http://www.womens-health.com/boards/register.php">Register</a>|<a href="http://www.womens-health.com/boards/members/little.html">Contact Admin</a>|<a href="mailto:support*womens-health.com?subject=Forum Contact">Email Admin</a></center>Comment

i was put on SSRIs for this but wasnt really told what it was at the time. when i went to the doctor to get help for my depression i can remember describing it as having "one good week a month" the rest just goes to . im destructive, selfish, irrational, petty, mean...enjoy conflict as a means of attention, dont want to do anything see anyone, id be happy to sleep forever when im like this and i sleep so much i get headaches lol. i think alot about suicide at its worst, and i dont like feeling like that as i dont actually want to die. and after i bleed, i say WHAT THE ??? what is wrong with me! hahaha. it just makes everything seem so miserable and hopeless. i have depressive tendencies also so its like compounded in my case. ive had three major depressions since 19 that havent just felt cyclic. trying yasmin for it at the moment. i hear it makes normal gals crazy so hopefully itll make this crazy gal normal. currently trying to not ruin a relationship at the moment but i think its starting to weigh a bit, he understands it but i guess theres only so long he can deal with it.
has anyone else experienced it this bad? ive ruined several career oppourtunities and never completed a degree because of it. quit so many jobs etc its pretty much ruining my lifeIf I knew where I was going I would already be there
I wish I had more time. Judicious, beautiful, augmented, whatever.
I've always been afraid to die, but I think I'm more afraid to live. (BC, SP)
