Could stress lead to a lighter withdrawal bleed?

Hi there, so i've recently started university. Last week I finished my pack of pills and my withdrawal bleed started three days later as usual. Only it has been extremely light this month, hardly enough for one tampon and day and only last three days. usually i would not be worried but usually I bleed for almost 7 days and it is very heavy. I have taken a couple of hpt's just to be sure and both her negative.

I was just wondering if a change in lifestyle and increased stress could lead to a lighter bleed? Any light that could be shed on this would be really great, thank you

Absolutely, even on the pill, your period and amount will vary a bit. This happened with me, during stressful times, my periods were very light, sometimes even hardly non existent even on the pill.

Stress will absolutely change things up. You said starting University so if this is your first year then I would suggest (this is coming from a 4th year student) you come up with a relaxation method or activity of some sort because things will only get harder. The first month of any term is the easiest, there are no midterms, no papers, no research to comb through....all of that will come no matter what field you study. I would say figure out how to incorporate some down time maybe a trip to the pub with your friends just to blow off some steam even if it is just for a few hours once a week. You will get used to it though and your periods will follow a more set path once you have adjusted into everything.
