    Bleeding down there

Last night after sex I discovered bright red blood coming from my vagina. It was just a few drops and I thought it had stopped but slept with a panty liner just in case. This morning there was only one spot of blood on the panty liner. I'm at school now and just discovered a few spots in my panty liner so I'm still bleeding. Pressing paper down there cased a few spots of red blood.

I don't feel any pain or any different even when I feel around down there. Last night I had a very intense orgasm with vaginal contractions stronger than I ever had before. Even my husband asked me about it. Could this have torn something in there? Should I go to the GYN for a check up?

An orgasm will not tear tissue. However if your husband was going a bit faster or stronger than usual during sex that can create a tear or two and as you wipe or even move it can open the tear and cause the bleeding. However if you are due for your period within the next few days then you could attribute it to early spotting. I would wait a day or two and see if the bleeding continues, it only becomes a real problem if it becomes an excessive amount rather than infrequent small amounts.

Sometimes I bleed after sex too. My fiance is large and if we don't use enough lube or go for a longer time, I have a little blood on the toilet paper. If it persists I would call your doctor and get their thoughts on it. Otherwise it does happen on occasion to some people. Also- are you on any form of birth control? Could be a coincidence from the pill/ or possible sign of pregnancy (but that would be unrelated to the sex).

Not on birth control, since I'm sterile I don't need it and can't be pregnant. My period is not due for over a week and this is fresh looking red blood, not menstrual blood. I just checked again, only one spot of red blood with toilet paper pressed against my vagina.

If there was a tear I should feel it, I have no pain at all even when feeling inside and out.

Hmm...this is a tough one. If it doesn't stop by tomorrow I would probably call your doctor...or maybe call a doctor and just see what they say over the phone.

Thanks, your right, if it don't stop I'll call a GYN I've been to before.

I dread telling my husband about it because he'll think he hurt me and no telling how it will affect our sex life. But if I don't tell him and he finds out I've been to the doctor it might be worse.

Be open and honest with him. He'd rather you be safe than any else. It shouldn't ruin your sex life...stuff happens! Eventually you look back and giggle about it.
