Brown discharge for over two weeks?

I'm 15 (almost 16) years old and...well, I don't know what's going on, so any help you can give me is much appreciated.

I had a period on September 5 (of this year). My boyfriend and I were fooling around on September 13. He was teasing me, but his boxers were on, and he constantly moved them around so the wet spots from his pre-cum wouldn't touch me. Scared of being pregnant, I took Plan B within 24 hours of it happening (on September 14). On September 19, another "period" came thanks to the pill.

We had sex for the first time on October 2 at around midnight; it was the first time either of us have ever had sex, and we did use a condom. We did it again in the same night, and we've done it 10 other times on different days (all with condoms). When I woke up on October 3, I had slight abdominal pain and pink spotting/discharge. Since then, it's gone from pink to brown, and it hasn't stopped.

It isn't my period, I know that for a fact because it's usually a moderate amount of red blood. There isn't enough brownish discharge for me to have to worry about wearing a pad. I also don't think it is implantation bleeding because it would have started almost a week after having sex; this was within a few hours of it and it's been going on for a while.

I've been doing research on this for days, and so far all I've heard is to visit a gynecologist. I'm not sure if I should make an appointment yet, though. I was going to wait and take a home pregnancy test (possibly two or three) because even though we have always used condoms, having a baby is still a possibility. We also checked the condoms after we finished; they were never broken and didn't have any holes in them.

I don't think it is an STD because we lost our virginities to each other. Could it just be that he was too rough on me, and it was my first time? Is it an infection? Do the type of condoms we used have anything to do with it (Trojan with spermicide)? And could the hormones from Plan B be the reason why I haven't had my period?

I'm trying not to stress out about this, but I know it's important that I find out what is going on. And I realize that I'm not going to know for sure until I go to the doctor, but it's comforting to know that other people have or are going through something similar. I don't want to hear that I'm too young to be having sex, because I knew about the consequences even before it happened. I chose to do it.

I think it is just old blood coming out. You've had your period, I'm assuming for a while now. Starting to have sex has probably "shaken" things up in there and the result is the old blood that has been in there has been loosened and is now coming out.

It sounds like you were safe and I don't think you have much to worry about. Brown discharge is common and will make an appearance for the rest of your life, well, as long as you have a period anyways.

Thank you so much. (: That really does make me feel better.
Yeah, I started my period when I was 12. When I first got the discharge, I had a feeling it was because of the sex.
Should I still take a pregnancy test, though? And what if the old blood doesn't stop coming out for another week or two?

If you are overly worried about it, it doesn't hurt to take a test. If anything, just to ease your mind. If the brown blood lasts for over a month, I'd probably think about getting in to see a Dr, which since you are now sexually active, is a good idea anyways.

The test came out negative! Woo hoo!
What I'm worried about now is when I should start taking my birth control pills...I don't want to have sex again until I'm on them.
I've had blood come out for over a week before, and my doctor actually put me on the pills a couple of years ago to stop it. So I'm not sure if I should just start taking them so this discharge stops on its own, or if I should see a doctor.
Today, I noticed that I'm starting to get red blood, so I don't know if this is my period or just newer blood coming out because of the rough sex I had.
What would you do if you were me?

If I felt it was my period, I would start the pill on Sunday. I've always been more comfortable being a Sunday starter. Plan B can screw up your cycle for a few months, so it may or may not be your period. It probably wouldn't hurt to get into the Dr if you haven't been in a while.

              That's a good idea. (:
I went to the doctor today and he said starting the pills would probably stop the bleeding and regulate me. I feel a lot better.
              Thanks for everything. <3
