Need advice/Opinion about Endometriosis.. please..
I've always had periods that weren't normal, they lasted too long and I went to the dr. about it and was put on BC to regulate me and it did help that. I've had trouble with my periods since they first started when I was 14, I've had extreme pain with my periods from age 16 and I'm still having severe pain now. The pain is in my pelvis area and is a knife stabbing/very deep achy feeling, feels like someone put a heavy book on me, there is a lot of pressure and just a heavy feeling, and bloating too. The BC did help for a while but then it made it worse. The BC that I was on is called Lutera, and I watched a YT video that said BC with high amounts of Estragon made it worse every month, is this true? Based on my research I have a few of the symptoms of Endometriosis. I have the extreme pain, where I've thrown up before from it, I get nauseated every month, I have to take 600 mgs of Advil and sometimes Lortab or Tylenol 3. I also have to use the heating pad for 2 days straight, and I can't sleep at night without it on during my period. I get cold and hot sweats because of the pain and I get dizzy as well, my heart rate gets extremely fast, but that's only for 2 days, then my period slacks off and the pain gets better. I'm planning to go to the dr. soon about it but what can I do/what advice do you guys have for me before I go/what should I ask etc? Does this sound like Endo or something else? I'm 20 years old and haven't ever had sexual intercourse before either (not sure if that makes a difference). Thanks in advance. -
You definitely need to talk to your doctor again, and soon so you don't have to suffer any longer.
Before you go, write down every symptom you feel, what it's like before you get your period, the symptopms you have when you're on your period, and how you feel after. Don't spare any details. Don't sugar coat anything.
To me, it sounds like it could be endo or cysts/PCOS, because the pain you describe is much more severe than what is typical menstrual discomfort... but you need to undergo more tests before they can diagnose that.Comment

ok, I will be writing everything down before I go, and my mom is going to make an appointment for me soon. My mom did have Ovarian cysts when she was younger (when she was my age I mean) so is that genetic or has nothing to do with that? I will also write down all the things I've researched that it might be including what you told me it might be (I've researched those as well). Thank you for your help..

I don't know much about ovarian cysts, but I have heard that it is hereditary. Then again, my mom had trouble with cysts, and I haven't had any, so it's hard to say!
Definitely also make sure to mention your family history of them though, you want your doc to have as much information on you as possible!
I wish you the best of luck in getting this fixed. You shouldn't have to deal with such pain and discomfort!Comment
