What can I do to prepare myself to get examined or get answers from a military doctor?
Background:
I was put on BC at 15 to regulate my periods as I only had them 2-4 times a year.
Within the last two years, I have missed three periods.
The first time, I had blood work done, and they said nothing came up in the blood work to indicate health issues.
The second time I went in, she said she could do a peetest if I wanted, but if I already took one at home (I had) then it wouldn't give different results. She also said that if I wasn't planning to have children (we aren't) I shouldn't worry about missing one or two as I did before I was on the pill. I asked her what else could be done, and she said an internal exam would be the last thing possible.
This is missed period #3 in the last year on the pill, which I am diligent about taking.
I eat healthy, I am as fit as I have ever been without an increase or decrease in my activities and I maintain a normal body fat% for my height.
No major stress or major life changing events have happened within my life.
So, with this in mind, how do I go about pursuing this issue?
Do I lie and say we do want to make a family? We don't...
Do I ask for a referral to a specialist? I would be sent to another Military DR./Corpsman before getting out of the hospital.
Part of me says forget it, it's nothing, but the other part says, nothing says O NO like a missed period...
