just had colposcopy with biopsy today
I just got home from having a colposcopy with biopsy and just need to vent. First of all, I'm glad its over! Secondly, I don't feel as crampy as I do "icky" and sore up inside. When I first got to the appointment, they took my BP and it was 170/100...I was soooo nervous! Then, during the procedure, my legs kept wiggling/shaking thanks to nerves and adrenaline. The weren't able to entire remove a polyp in my cervix, however, they did manage to pull off enough for a biopsy. They also had to take samples from different areas of my cervical face. It wasn't fun, it hurt a bit at times, but it was totally managable. I wanted to share my experience since I know how much surfing I did online looking for others' experience of the same thing. It should also be mentioned I have anxiety disorder (for those of you who might also) but was able to cope and stay distracted enough during the procedure. Now that I'm home, I have no appetite but that could be due to all the adrenaline I had running through my body. I also feel sore...not realy crampy, up inside. So if there is anyone out there that is coming up on the same procedure, I want you to know that its nothing to be afraid of. I'm new here and so thankful I have a place to share advice, as well as seek and receive comfort from others. Cheers!
