I will change atleast 4 pads in a day during the first 3 days but it will take 8 pads after first 3 days. And usually my periods will last for 9 to 10 days. Is it normal? I am 34 now and I delivered in May 2011. Last period also I had the same problem and this also. I have severe back ache or stomach ache. I take contraceptive pill "Yasmin" but sometimes I miss out.

Could somebody please help me?

So it takes 8 pads per day after the first 3 days? That seems pretty heavy after 3 days. I have a super heavy flow the first 2 days of my period, but it slowly tapers off and gets lighter. Yasmin should help with that, but if you keep forgetting it, that can affect your cycle too. Perhaps you could talk to your gyno about getting on a different pill or form of birth control you don't have to remember, like the shot or implant.

Thanks dear, for your response. I don't take Yasmin the same time it usually will be before 15 mins or after 15 mins from the first day i start. For example, this time I started at 11pm but it will be at 10:35/10:40 i will take or I will take at 11:15.

I don't think your period would be weird because of not taking it exactly at the same time every day. It would be more from missing a day here and there.
