Fed up..
I've been having major issues with my cycle since the beginning of December. I had a 3 week period starting Dec 1st. Dr put me on provera to make it stop. After I finished, I got another period that started the 29th. This one was heavy and I'm almost positive I had iron deficiency. I was weak and tired and sleeping all day. I called the dr and she put me back on provera. So that period stopped around Jan 10th. Now today, I've gotten yet another period. I'm so tired of this. My cramps are really bad, I'm pretty sure my bleeding is about to get heavy, and I barely have enough energy to post this. I'm so desperate for someone to understand. My dr keeps putting me on these pills and I feel like there's something a little more sinister going on here. Has anyone else had this issue? I plan on calling the dr if this period lasts through the 30th. -
Are you on any birth control pills? If the body is not receiving enough estrogen from pills it can cause periods to continue when they should not. You can ask for a whole plethora of blood tests from regular CBC to specifics of iron and so forth, I mean you may not get any good information out of it but it is only a blood test so it could help. There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy. -
I'm not on BC. I think I'm going to request an ultrasound this time around. It's really discouraging that my doctor just keeps giving me these pills. It's almost as though she doesn't even care. I mean I have a history of cervical dysplasia and recurring infections so I thought that maybe she would look deeper into it. Thanks for your advice.Comment
