    What brand? advice needed!

    Hi girls

I thought i would starts a new topic for this. I have recently posted about coming off the pill and have a few more questions.

I have never used tampons before and im wondering what brand or sort you would recommend me to get??? Also, what brand of pain relief do you find works best? And which iphone app is best for tracking periods etc?

    Thanks so much!

I use store-brand (Walmart) tampons, because I like the plastic-applicator ones, but I don't like the price. After years of Kotex, I don't find they work any better or worse than the name brands. Barring the packaging, the experience is exactly the same.

Ibuprofen is supposed to directly address the mechanic that causes pain during a period. Any other NSAID should work similarly too, but I don't think Acetominophen does anything special for cramps. Again, name brands don't really do it for me. Certainly, Advil's candy coating tastes better than name-brand's nothing, but it's a medicine - it's going down either way!

I don't know about iPhone apps, but again I'd go for whatever is cheap or, preferably, free. The plus side to something being free is that if it doesn't work, you haven't lost anything! Maybe somebody else can give you better advice or a suggestion on this front
