Vaginal bumps?
So for the past few days, I've had these painful red bumps lining my outer labia. It hurts to urinate and open my legs too wide. I have protected sex and saw a gynecologist in February with no complications or STDs or anything like that. I'm wondering if this is just a reaction to something? I'm on birth control and have been for over a year. It's very uncomfortable and I know I should see a doctor, but I want an idea of what this might be. Herpes? It doesn't seem possible but I'm really hoping its not. Any idea would be much appreciated. -
It could just be an allergic reaction to something. Maybe even a fungal infection. It could also be herpes. But if you were given the full spectrum STD test in February and haven't had unprotected sex since then, then it's doubtful to be herpes. HSV 1 is oral herpes (something like 85% of the population have this). HSV 2 is genital herpes. HSV1 can be transmitted from mouth to genitals during oral sex, and can cause outbreaks...but this would be far less common then HSV 2 of the genitals.
You've probably just gotten a hold of something your vag doesn't like. It's a very sensitive area. Try to keep the area clean and dry and get yourself into the doctor to get it figured out.

Also, do you shave down there? Maybe razor burn, which is rather uncomfortable in that area. However, an allergic reaction could very well be the issue too. Have you changed soaps, detergents or anything recently? Wear some cotton panties and let your girl bits breathe for a while. Like BD says, get into the Dr and get it figured out.Comment
