After taking a class this past year on Anatomy and physiology, my professor actually said that gravity gives the sperm a better chance to fertilize the egg. This would happen when lifting your leggs or laying down after sex. So, I guess it's not an old wives tale! However, you might want to get a professional opinion on this one! -
