Is my treatment working? Cream, for BV...

I recently had my first gyno appointment and even though everything else is looking great, I happened to have Bacterial Vaginosis.
Mind you, I've never been sexually active, or even to first base, but that's beside the point. Anyways, I'm taking the cream that was prescribed to me and just want to make sure it's working.

I have to insert the cream twice a day, and lately I noticed white chunks are now appearing when I wipe or insert it (the cream is clear). Is that alright? I've never really used a cream for that "area" and up until then I never experienced white chunks like this. Does that mean it's all coming out? Pardon me for sounding stupid, it just creeps me out seeing it.

Also, with BV, is it certain that it'll return again?

Not everyone who has BV has recurrences. I am now into Chronic BV, and after trying every medical and home remedy there is, I am disgusted. I hope you don't become a Chronic sufferer.

Bv is just an imbalance of your PH in your vagina. Alot of women do have reoccurences, but that doesn't mean your Bv will come back. So many things can cause Bv such as poor diet (too much sugar), wearing tight clothing, douching, sexual intercourse, and using perfumed soaps and detergents just to name a few. Our Ph is very sensitive, so it is very easily irratated. If you are experiencing a white almost wet toilet tissue like discharge after using the vaginal medication gel, this is very normal. It is just the excess gel and bad bacteria clumped together that you are noticing. I know it is disgusting looking (I used it before for BV) but at least you know that the bad stuff is coming out. I was very alarmed myself, while i was using the gel. I was using the "FLAGYL" metro-gel. Good Luck.....Hope you are doing better....
