Late periods. Not pregnant. Insomnia. .. ???

In the past four months my periods have been late. My cycle has been every 29-32 days. In the past two months I have had insomnia accompanied with it. I do everything normal. I take midol for cramps. I use a warm heating pad for cramps. I eat right. I exercise regularly. Besides not sleeping, I don't understand what I am doing wrong. I am only 25. Why could I be having late periods? I know I'm not pregnant. Has anyone had late periods before? Has anyone had late periods with insomnia before? What did you do to help your situation? Should I go to the doctor? Any helpful advice is urgently wanted.

    re: late periods

I wish I had an answer for you... I would be interested in knowing too, though. My periods have been totally weird the last 4-6 months. I am always tired and don't get good sleep thanks to sleep apnea, so I wouldn't know if that had anything to do with it, but I used to be so regular. My periods used to come within a day, if not right on the same date every month. Now it's been one month I would have it a week late, then I would get it on time according to the month before, then the next month be two weeks late, then be a week early, and now, last month I started on the ninth of aug. and it's the 26th of sept. and no period yet. I would love to know what's going on, but I don't have insurance so I can't do to the doctor. Hope you find out what's going on...just wanted to tell ya I been there.

I've been searching for an answer to this for 4 years . I'm peri menopausal so I miss periods sometimes and when I do it's always accompanied by insomnia, very bad insomnia.I feel in myself like my body is trying to kickstart the period but its just not happening so my engine overheats... hot flushes! and I spend all night writhing around in my bed, sometimes even sleeping pills don't work, it really can be .
I rekon it can be fixed by balancing the hormones and when I test and try something that works I'll tell all. Ideas welcome
