    PMS.....bad

Hi, i was just wondering if anyone can help me. I am only 17 and have had my period for 4 years and have been on the pill for nearly a year. When i hit 15 my period stoped for 7 months due to a great loss in weight. It returned (to my releif), however, In the past 5 months of my cycle, my moods have changed severly about a week and a half before my period is due to begin. This is no normal mood change either, it is like i slip into a deppression. everyone hides from me and i am horribly irrational and hating. i am lucky my boyfriend is understanding! It is horrible though as i have never suffered any form of PMS before. Now for the past 2 - 3 weeks i have been getting a browish discharge from my vagina. Please, if anyone can help let me know what is happening or even suggest some remedies for my mood swings, it would be GREATLY appreciated! i am really worried...

i too have been getting really bad mood swings and i was going to go talk to my gyno the next time i see her later this month. i will go from crying to turned on to crying again to ****ed off and all over again within minutes. it is really disrupting my life it effects my work and everything. i even started to smoke to alleviat some of the built up anger i get throught out the day. i cant stand it. there is a pill called yazz but i hate pills and i have been on the nuva ring for two years to regulate my periods. i will talkto my doctore about yazz though. to find out more about it. good luck to you and i share your pain.

      Come off the pill!

      Hi,

I too suffer from PMS so I don't have all the answers. But, I do know that being on the pill is a really common cause and I know lots of people who have had to come off it because of mood swings and gaining weight.

You should ask your doctor..I've had terrible mood swings due to my PMS too. I asked my doctor and she suggested increasing my calcium intake by 300 mg four times a day. I've put more vegetables in my diet too and I do see the difference.I still get mood swings but not as terrible. There is a way to control it. I agree being on the pill I remember made me feel like I was crazy alot. Excersising is always good too.
