    Swollen labia/hood.. HELP?

    I'm 17.
I have been sexually active for three years, but only with one partner.
I am on the pill. (Reclipsen)
And I have never had troubles with my lady parts up until now.
I haven't had sex in over a month.

But half of my labia and part of my hood is really swollen. No, there is no abnormal growth, but the labia itself it just swollen. No discoloration, but there is some discharge.
I am scared to death, and have no idea what to do.

So yesterday, I was in the shower and decided to shave. I used some barbasol shaving cream down there(which probably was not the smartest thing to do.) But my labia was fine before then. After getting ready, I had worn tight pants for about 11 or so hours.
It was tender last night, but I was too tired to really take it into consideration.
I had just barely noticed this in the shower.
It looks inflated and is really sensitive and painful to the touch.

You probably have an ingrown hair or several. This happened when you shaved too close but the tight pants probably made the situation worse. If you had someone to look closely, he or she should be able to find where a hair or several has/have pulled back into the skin.
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.
    ...
Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

I do believe that was indeed the problem. The swelling has gone down a lot in the past couple of hours.
      Thank you!

Well, that can be a problem but I think it's more that that

Barbasol shaving cream down there, never do that. Mild soap is really the best this is a sensaitive part of your body. Some shaving creams have chemicals that can set off rashes, swell those parts in irritation and allergy.

Then there is the tight pants for 11 hours.

Try to understand your body, your body part down their can not breathe, there is no air... It gets moist and bacteria emerges which is called Thrush.

Thrush can irritate it definately will make you swell and it will cause discharge.

It's easy to get rid off but you must get rid of it before you and your partner have sex again and he must also get something to use other wise you two pass it back and forward onto each other as the bacteria still lives.

Go to the Chemist and ask for either a 1 off tablet with some cream and whether he can use that cream too or just the cream which you insert for a few days.

        It will then be gone.

You also may need to consider, no g-strings over a lengthy time, or nylon knickers ever or nylon stockings for a long period of time or tight jeans for a long period of time. Nylon does not breathe either.

Don't stress it, I doubt there is not one woman alive that hasn't had it at one point in her life, minor or major.
