Where do I start ? I met the most beautiful girl I could ever have wished for. She began accusing me of things that I didnt do. She created a lot of jealousy, always thinking the wrong thing. I would have to convince her for hours that I hadnt done anything wrong. I truly loved this girl. She would go absolutely crazy at me over things that I didnt ever do or she just misunderstood what I'd said etc. I would spend days begging her to believe me because whatever she said I'd done, I hadn't. I really wanted to make this relationship work. Our sex life was amazing, she was so funny and good company it wasn't true. I was so happy with her. On one occasion when she stormed out of my flat after misunderstanding something I said, I was so upset, I asked her to marry me as I couldnt contemplate life without her. I knew I wanted to marry her before hand I might add, but this was just the catalyst. She said yes, and we went away on holiday and I proposed in a better setting. Anyway, her mood swings and accusations continued and I couldn't work out what the problem was as I knew I wasnt doing anything wrong. We had previously set a date to get married, and as the up and down behaviour continued, I said that maybe we should delay our plans. I actually said it in a nice way, I didnt expect our worlds to fall apart afterwards. She went mad at me, and so I agreed to keep the original date. She was already paranoid about being let down as she had had problems with previous boyfriends. She moved in with me and I continued to feel uneasy about the mood swings. I was constantly trying to reassure her that I loved her, want doing anything dodgy etc. Anyway, again she walked out on me 10 weeks before the planned wedding. I at that point thought how can we get married when things were so unstable. I said we needed to put things back...Our lives descended into chaos after that. We were living together and she would storm out every other week, I would spend hours begging her to come back. She would move into her parents house, move back in with me. It was so unstable. We stayed together and I put everything I had into saving us. She tried as well but we just couldnt hold things together. She has now met someone else and I have lost the girl that I loved more than anything. I have been so upset that I have wondered what the point of being here is. She will i'm sure have a life with this other person now. I am absolutely devastated but her mood swings and highly unstable behaviour were impossible. I did not know what else I could do to save us. she would have these symptoms for 2 weeks out of 4 and it couldnt be good for her either. It was the worst emotional roller coaster ive ever been on and has almost finished me. Can someone tell me what I should have done differently?

Douching is not good for you. The vagina naturally clenses itself. Brown discharge like you mention is probably just old blood. It doesn't always come out in 4 days. Sometimes it can take longer. The blood you see before your period is probably from the egg being released. Nothing to worry about.

Douching is washing or cleaning out the vagina with water or other mixtures of fluids... there are some prepacked from feminine wash brands , should be able to find them around drug stores...

As sp346 mentioned , douching is not good if its done excessively...

If a vagina can clean itself so thoroughly, women will not experience brown discharge as what lemon tart is going through... Everyone's body reacts differently, some can clean itself well but some cant... External help is not always a bad thing if its done the right way...

Here is information put out by the US Dept of Health and Human Services on douching

                Is douching safe?

Most doctors and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommend that women don't douche. Douching can change the delicate balance of vaginal flora (organisms that live in the vagina) and acidity in a healthy vagina. One way to look at it is in a healthy vagina there are both good and bad bacteria. The balance of the good and bad bacteria help maintain an acidic environment. Any changes can cause an over growth of bad bacteria which can lead to a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis. Plus, if you have a vaginal infection, douching can push the bacteria causing the infection up into the uterus, fallopian (fuh-LOH-pee-uhn) tubes, and ovaries.

Should I douche to clean inside my vagina?

No. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists suggests women avoid douching completely. In most cases the vagina's acidic environment "cleans" the vagina. If there is a strong odor or irritation it usually means something is wrong. Douching can increase your chances of infection. The only time you should douche is when your doctor tells you to.

Hi sp346, i read that fact sheet also but couldnt find the answer to my question... If a vagina can clean itself so thoroughly, every woman will be having a problem free n a healthy vagina...

Reading the last sentence, "The only time you should douche is when your doctor tells you to" does it contradict what they are saying... So can i say douching is not a definite no-no, just that is has to be done moderately n not regularly ?
