So, I got my period 4 days ago and I've been on birth control for months now and it's not normal for me to go off the chart with my period, it's also been old blood. My sister (the only other woman in the house) got her period give or take a day or two of me. Her period never effected me before though. Wondering why? Is this something more urgent? Thanks

I don't think your sister has anything to do with what you are experiencing. You may want to take a pregnancy test if you have been sexually active.

When you started, was it when you were supposed to?

The fact that you are sexually active, your period is off the chart, and old blood, I would take a test to make sure. I know it's a scarry thought, but sometimes BC fails. If the test is negative, see how things are with your next cycle. If it's still abnormal, you should schedule a check-up. Keep us updated.
