Hey, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with gyno appointments and if it is appropriate to ask a female friend to go with you to hold your hand. Can you help me?

The first one is always the scariest. Not that they're painful or anything like that, it is just weird. I get it, we've all been there. Once you've done it a few times, it just becomes routine.
And typically the doctors won't have a problem with you having someone in there with you. Just explain you're uneasy and would like some moral support. -
That would be a great idea, wish I had thought of that! If it's a male gyno they always have a female nurse in there and honestly I didn't feel comfortable with that...it would've been much better to have a female friend nearby.Comment
