Hi my name is Jill I'm suppose to go my my well womens exam tomorrow yesterday I started my period I have really bad lower back pain and my cramps are really bad. I really don't fell like getting exam when I'm not feeling so good going. The real reason is I'm supposed to have a pelvic exam and a pap test is would it be ok skip that part of the exam and do it another time. but go on and talk about the up coming surgery that I will be having done. I'm going to be having a laparoscopy on December 17. Thanks any help would be greatly appreciated. Thinks Jill

Hi jacloss.

If your appointment isn't too early, call your doctor ahead of time and let him/her know that you don't want to be examined. For a well-visit, I think it's usually preferred that a woman is between periods, but you have an upcoming surgery, so your doctor may still want to see you. But talk to your doctor and see if he/she still want you to keep your appointment.

Dear Ali.
Thanks for your message. My OBGYN is very hard to get into Since I was having surgery on December 17 she said it best that she went through did my pelvic exam and my pap test. I was very glad because the day of my appointment my period was very light. I'm having a Laparoscopy done to check to see if I have Endometriosis because I'm having really bad cramps during my period. Another help tip I don't know if you have sore breast like I do I found out that California evening primrose oil really work for me. I get mine at mother's market you can also get it at any food store. If you have any more question send me a e-mail, to jacloss*cox.net. I will let you know how I made out after I have the surgery. Surgery

Dear Ali,
I just wanted to let ypu know that I had to change my surgery date From December 17 to February 13 At the time I set my first surgery date my doctor did not tell me that I would not be able to travel or go any where for two week. I always spend Christmas with my brother every year. My OBGYN so nice to me that she let me change my surgery date to February 13 instead. This year I got to spend Christmas in Truckee Tahoe Ca. My brother house is all a mess because they are adding on to there house. My new surgery date is now Tuesday February 13 the day before Valentine's day. I hope that you had a nice Christmas.
