Hi! I'm seventeen years old and I have a rare type of hymen called a septate hymen meaning that my hymen actually vertically divides my vaginal opening into two different holes. No I don't have two vaginas just two holes to the same one. Look up a picture/diagram of you are still confused. This isn't my problem however. I have seen a gynecologist and I have a scheduled septumectamy for sometime in July. However last week my boyfriend was fingering me and somthing happened. I started to bleed. I lost so much blood that I could barely stand or see at one point. I rinsed in the shower and my boyfriend made sure I didnt hurt myself. I put on a pad and took it easy for a while. And after that continued on with my day. After the incident I had some minimal soreness and continued to wear a pad as some minimal bleeding also continued for a few days. Now that it is no longer bleeding I've been trying to asses what's happened. I think my septate hymen may be thinner than it was and I can also see some cuts but I'm not sure if it has teared at all it's hard to tell. My septate hymen is For sure. Should I be worried? Should I tell someone? I cannot tell my mom about this in detail so would it be believable to say I yanked a tampon out and it got caught? Or should I wait to see if the gyno asks about it or even notices for that matter? I'm lost on this one
still alittle bummed though because my surgerys not until July and my boyfriends leaving for school in August
