so this month, my period came three days early. it started on monday and i was barely even bleeding. i was bleeding enough to ruin a good pair of underwear, but it wasn't heavy at all, and after a while it stopped almost completely. i was still feeling the same kind of cramps i always get during my period, though. later on it got heavier and that continued through the night and through most of today but then it started getting lighter again, almost nonexistent.
i'm terrified that this is actually implantation and not my period, which with all fair logic should not be happening. i did take a first response pregnancy test on monday and it was negative. i don't know how much i can trust that though.
so should i be worried or am i just having a weird cycle this time?

Are you under any kind of stress lately? Or have you altered your routine or work/sleep cycles?

Are you on birth control?

Generally, three days' difference isn't a huge change and can be because of several reasons.

The result of implant bleeding is spotting rather than a strong flow. One to three days is the typical duration. When a fertilised egg adheres to the lining of the uterus, there may be some light bleeding or spotting.
