Possible Ovarian Cyst?
Last July I had some stomach issues and got an ultrasound done, where they found a cyst on one of my ovaries. Since they didn't seem too concerned about it (they mentioned it once and didn't even say what side it was on) I just forgot about it. But around that time I had also started to get lighter, shorter periods with more cramps and a change in PMS symptoms as well. At the time I just figured it was stress related or just a normal change. However, since my last period (which started January 6th) I've been having this frequent pain in my lower right side and occasionally my back and thigh. Sometimes it's dull and sometimes it's sharp, and there was one day where it was very severe and went all the way to my knee. I'd gotten some similar pain there before this, but it was very brief and mild so I never paid any attention to it. Could this be caused by an ovarian cyst?👍 1 -
I have the same feeling almost exactly. Dull almost burning discomfort but its on my left side. I notice it travels down to my leg. It just bothers me. Mind feels uncomfortable when I'm gassy. I've had doctors tell me I had cyst before and they don't seam worried. I have never had one that felt this uncomfortable. I'm going to get another check up in a few days to see. I have had it for two cycles about 6 weeks and I noticed it starts about a week after my period ends and is the worst for a few days then almost goes away. I noticed the same thing happens this cycle as well. It just feels uncomfortable all the time. They say wait 3 months with cysts and they can just go away. Acupuncture is good. Caster oil packs. Hope you get whatever it is figured out ASAP. Good luck.👍 1 -
I have cysts on my ovaries and when they are there, it hurts sometimes a dull ache and sometimes sharp pains right over my ovaries. The doctors told me I just will have to live with having them off and on my whole life basically and sent me home. They can hurt worse during my periods, but I didn't notice any other issues with them. The one that sent me to the doctor to begin with was so bad, it had burst and had me in bed unable to walk and my family made me go to the ER because they thought my appendix was about to burst. So, they can vary a lot.👍 1Comment

Ovarian cysts are relatively common and often harmless, but they can sometimes cause symptoms like irregular periods, pelvic pain, bloating, or discomfort during certain activities. If you suspect a cyst, it's best to consult a doctor for an ultrasound to confirm and assess the situation. Most cysts resolve on their own, but some may require monitoring or treatment. Don't hesitate to seek medical advice if you're feeling unsure or experiencing severe symptoms. Take care!👍 1Comment

I think you should get an MRI test done. Because my sister also had this problem. 4-5 ultrasounds were done but only cyst was visible. Periods flow reduced. Bleeding during periods for only 2 days and just spotting. She started having pain on the right side of her stomach. This pain continued for 2 years. Then suddenly the pain increased. When we went to the doctor, a doctor suggested an MRI. The MR report revealed that it is ADENOMAYOMA, which can never go away. Do not rely on ultrasound. Get an MRI done once.Comment
