Is this normal?
Okay so let me start from he beginning. I am 20 and I had protected sex on the 22nd of February. It was only my 2nd time ever so I was really nervous the day after because I am not on birth control and the guy came really fast so it worried me. Anyways, I was really stressed out that something was gonna happen but all I could do was wait till my "period." It was supposed to start on a Sunday, but it didn't. So I was even more stressed. It finally started 3 days later and was the same amount of menstrual blood and all of that. It still lasted about 4-5 days as usual. So I was very relieved. However for the past week or so, I'm been feeling slightly weird. Tired but mostly cause I've been working more. But my stomach has been feeling gassy and not exactly constipated but I feel like I always have to go. But it doesn't always happen. Then today I saw that I had a slight brownish discharge in my underwear. I don't think I'm dirty and I'm not exactly what is going on. I'm having some slight cramping due to the gas right under my belly button. Does anyone know what is going on? Could I be pregnant? My period app tells me I'm ovulating but I just want to make sure. Also my diet has been kinda bad lately as I have barley been home to make meals. I don't know if that helps. -
If you had your period and it was normal, you're most likely not pregnant. The brown discharge was most likely just a bit of old blood, but if you had unprotected sex you should get a check-up just to be sure that all's well downstairs. As was just said on another post remember for all future occasions NO GLOVE = NO LOVE. And that's until you're on b/c AND you've been in a committed relationship for at least a year AND you are certain you're both healthy. Condoms don't just prevent lives, they save them. -
Sorry, even though you said 'protected sex', your worry over pregnancy made me thing you had mis-typed and meant unprotected. Very glad you're being safe
Ok, all of your symptoms (except the spotting) can be explained by stress, PMS and poor diet. Drink plenty of fluids and get some FiberOne bars, both the choc chip and PB are good, they'll help get your digestive system running right again and they're good carry around quick snacks.
Now for the spotting, as I said it's most likely just old blood, I sometimes have brown spotting before my actual period starts. Unless it lasts more than 2-3 days, don't worry. If it does last longer than that just go into your GYN for a quick check.Comment
