    Mystery Discharge

Hello! I'm 18 years old and a freshman in college. Ever since I was about a sophomore in high school I've been having constant discharge. I never thought of it as a problem until this year because it is so annoying and I am constantly wet and uncomfortable down there. I did a lot of research and thought that I might have BV. I went to the gynecologist twice and was never found to have BV, but she did prescribe me yeast infection medication which did nothing. I went to a different gynecologist who said to start taking birth control and that may help. The discharge is pretty consistent through out the day and varies in color. It can be yellow, clear, white, chunky, whatever. I'm always wearing and changing panty liners. I've tried garlic, yogurt, lactobacillus acidophilus pills, cranberry pills, garlic pills, monostat yeast infection treatement, hydrogen peroxide, tea tree oil... everything! Nothing has even put a dent in the discharge. Anyone have any suggestions? This is super annoying! Thanks for your help.

There is not an odor that I or other people can detect when I am wearing pants/short/etc but when I pull down my underwear I can sometimes smell something. It's always different depending on the day

Then I suggest you try a different gynecologist,,, that could be an infection of some kind....

Well Madelinesmile i would be for sure making a appointment with your obgyn and having this check out. Like Patti was saying it could be some kind of infection and that's not good it could make you sterile if you don't get it check out. Good luck I hope you find out what is going on.
When out driving always turn left. Then, should you become lost, you can find your way home by reversing the procedure and always turning right.

When your Gynecologist prescribed you yeast infection medication, was it because she diagnosed a yeast infection or did she just give it to you to try, unrelated to yeast?

Since you've had the same symptoms for so long, having seen a doctor and tried various remedies, you can probably assume that this is the amount/type of discharge that your body makes "normally." It MAY not indicate a problem. Infections will usually present with some other kind of symptom, like itchiness or an uncomfortable feeling. People will naturally differ in amounts of discharge - it seems you fall on the heavier end of the spectrum.

Have you tried any dietary changes? Removing dairy from the diet is supposed to lessen overall mucous production.
